The artists
Meet the artists
Two workshops in the Artists’ Arcade in Edessa — two different materials, one shared love for art.
Ceramic Artist
Elsa Makridou
Elsa Makridou has run her ceramics workshop in the Artists’ Arcade in Edessa for many years.
Her artistic work is not limited to the traditional technique of the potter’s wheel, but also extends to contemporary sculptural approaches to ceramic art.
Through clay, imagination and her personal aesthetic, she creates unique works that combine the handmade tradition with contemporary artistic expression.
Artist – Wood & Resin
Giorgos Blagas
Giorgos Blagas creates handmade works from wood and epoxy resin in his workshop in the Artists’ Arcade in Edessa.
He sees wood not only as a natural material, but also as an endless field of creative expression, with unique properties and countless possibilities.
Through his creations he seeks to harmoniously combine the natural beauty, textures and distinctive character of wood with modern materials such as resin, creating original objects that celebrate the coexistence of nature and contemporary aesthetics.
